Minutes
 
In Attendance:
            Wendy McDaniel, Ashley Parks, Shelli Kenworthy, Amy Vann, Victoria Richardson, Bonnie Philliber, Connie Erickson, Kristina Davis, Diane James, Emily McKee.
 
Treasurer Report:
            Diane James, Treasurer. As of 08/31/09, the checking account at Two Rivers Bank has $13,825.75, of which $5,400.00 is earmarked for the gym floor at the Community Center.
 
Old Business:
v     Open House
Excellent variety of cookies, great turnout of parents and children. Motion made by Bonnie to have members volunteer to bake cookies for functions where PTC provides cookies (Christmas and Open House) instead of buying cookies from the store. Motion passed.
 
v     Playground/Sprinklers
Wendy has a few more bags of seed on her list to cover bare areas. Shed still needs to have the door widened. The John Deere lawn mower is at Jim Wrobels’ house. It was brought up that Jill (since she has garden design experience) should check the phases of the sprinkler system to make sure the water is adequate.
 
v     Natural Garden
Jill is in charge of this.
 
v     Gym Floor
In order to put in for a grant from Missoula Parks and Rec, the Community Center needs to have a bid in place prior to submitting the grant proposal. 
 
New Business:
v     Blackfoot Peacemakers Quilt Guild
The Blackfoot Peacemakers Quilt Guild sent an application to PTC and asked what they could do to help the group. It was decided to ask for the cost of referees for one game, $116.00.
 
v     Bingo
o       Date – March 6th, 2010. Brad Hall has been notified and Wendy is waiting for conformation. We must have date confirmation before we can print the 2010 calendar.
o       License
Victoria to apply for
o       Football – Wendy spoke w/8th grade and they would like to help sell tickets for the football. Wendy faxed the request to UM Athletics.
 
v     Craft Fair – November – It was decided we would like to sell calendars, football tickets (if we get one) and Potomac Gear.
 
v     List of Yearly Duties- Discussed but spring duties have not been divided
           
v     Fundraising
o       Bike-a-thon - Emily
o       Boosters – Emily/Shelli
o       Bingo - Wendy
o       Calendar- Wendy
Calendar
o       Calendar pre-sale begins on Monday, October 12th. Next meeting we will divide up the advertisers for solicitation and go over the classroom procedures. Wendy would like someone to be available to go into the classrooms Monday, October 12th, to get the drawings and sales started. Please don’t forget to bring prizes for the prize box to the next meeting.
